Purpose Driven helps those ‘recovering’

By August 10, 2006

USA (MNN) — Society in the United States is becoming more and more complex. Kids now have three sets of grandparents. Sexual addiction for men and women is growing at an exponential rate. Divorce is at an all time high — for Christians. This is reality.

That’s why Saddleback Church launched ‘Celebrate Recovery.’

Adopting Rick Warren’s Circles of Commitment and Baseball Diamond strategies, Celebrate Recovery uses the Purpose Driven Ministries’ model that attracts and wins the unchurched, develops them to spiritual maturity, equips them for ministry and then helps them establish a life mission in the world.

The program focuses on people struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process.

The ‘Celebrate Recovery’ Summit 2006 is schedule to begin next week at Saddleback Church in California to help you establish a program in your church which could help spark a unique evangelistic ministry. More than 2,500 people from 44 states and 12 countries attended the event last year.
