USA (MNN) — Helping orphans get connected with families is the most difficult part of helping them find their forever families. Buckner Orphan Care International is making it easier for at least 15 Russian children this year through their “Angels From Abroad” orphan host program.
Buckner finds adoption-minded families to host children ages 7-12 when they visit the United States during their summer vacation. The children spend two weeks in Christian homes, experiencing American culture, activities and events and sharing their own heritage with their host family. It is their prayer that every angel will find a “forever family” to adopt them when they visit this summer.
While host families are limited to Texas, you can help these children connect with the possible forever family by sponsoring these angels. Buckner needs to raise $1900 per “angel” to help offset the costs involved with travel, visas, and other program costs. Please ask the Lord to provide the financial resources to sponsor these children and pray that as they’re with these Christian families they’ll hear the Gospel can eventually come to Christ.
