We begin today’s newscast with a look at the Mideast peace talks and related developments. Israel is taking the United States to task over a warning to U.S. citizens of a heightened threat of ”terrorist” attacks in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. Christians for Israel’s David Sudlow gives his take on the situation. “[The] U-S Administration is looking at the possibility of jamming in another peace talk session with President Clinton before he leaves office. Different factions of the Palestinian side who are opposed to any kind of talks, are speaking out and these threats of violence are the outcome. But, I advise everybody who is thinking about going to Israel, to support Israel.” Sudlow adds that prayer is important at this juncture. “We’re on the verge of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. The enemy knows it; he’s doing all he can to thwart God’s purposes because he knows that Israel has something to do with it, so our prayers are so much being used by the Lord at this time.”
