(Colombia)–The fate of three New Tribes Missionaries headlines today’s news. New Tribes’ Scott Ross is now saying that Mark Rich, Dave Mankins, and Rick Tenenoff are believed to have been killed in Colombia some time in 1997 or 1998. “We were able to interview several guerrillas that had been either captured or wounded and captured or defected out of the organization that say, no we know people that were there when they were killed or we were there, but weren’t involved. Over the last many months then some very solid statements by many other guerrillas saying they have not survived. We believe and the wives are settled in believing that then men have not survived.” Ross cautions that more missionaries may be called to lay down their lives. “With the tensions that are growing, with some of these things that happened in the last few days, if we won’t see more and more people being placed in a situation where they may have to put themselves on the line for presenting the Gospel to people in different parts of the world.”
