(Zambia)–Headlining today’s news, with the completion of the African AIDS Summit over the weekend, evangelical organizations have a new resolve to reach out to those suffering from the disease. Nearly 70 percent of the world’s HIV infected people live in Africa. International Needs Network’s Zambia Director Thomas Lumba says they’re doing something about it. “We are going into schools. We are going into young people’s clubs, where we teach people the Christian value of a Christian marriage, how they should protect themselves to know that the body is a holy temple. And, God wants us to live in that way.” Lumba says the program is seeing results. “The people are definitely coming to know Jesus in great, great numbers. We have a problem now to do proper follow up because in a good service you can have hundreds of people coming just to know the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
