Elsewhere, Uzbekistan officials have arrested and beaten a local Christian leader for his involvement with a church youth camp. Compass Direct News Service reports that Nicholai Rudinsky has been accused of illegal drug possession, which is a common tactic used against evangelicals. Rudinsky told officials that the church camp he organized was sponsored by the registered church and had been funded legally. However both camps he attempted to form have been closed down.
