(Nepal)–Next, despite opposition to evangelism, a medical missions outreach was successful in Nepal. Operation Blessing International sponsored the trip. Operation Blessing’s John Lynn says it’s not easy for Christians to do work in that Hindu kingdom. “In Nepal, overt evangelization is frowned on by the government. So, you must be very cautious. And, the group saw over 1,400 people and each one of these people were shown the love of Christ.” Lynn says their ministry was cut short because of the assassinations of Nepal’s royal family last week. “When a tragedy like this assassination occurred, we knew that they were likely to do dramatic things. So, we felt is was best to leave the country just as quickly as possible.”
