(USA)–Meanwhile, Muslims in the United States are targeting students on university campuses with their Islamic message. InterVarsity’s Regional Director Dave Collins says East Michigan has the largest concentration of Muslim outside the Middle East. Collins works on campuses there and says Muslims are actively seeking new converts. “Rather than making Islam appear palatable to Christians, they’re actually trying to dissuade Christians of the legitimacy of Christian faith and see people become Muslims, rather than see Muslims simply become accepted by Christians.” Collins is asking people to pray for a full-time worker who could affect that strategy by sharing Christ with Muslim students. “We believe that today’s college students are tomorrow’s leaders, both locally and around the world. Here in southeast Michigan there’s a huge opportunity to affect Muslim leaders in the next generation. And, we have not been able to identify a worker to specialize in that.”
