(Russia)–Meanwhile, the Pentagon says Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld leaves today for a whirlwind visit to Moscow to discuss cooperation in the war on terrorism and warming U.S.-Russian ties. In fact, Russian Ministries’ George Law says that thawing relationship has helped their work, especially in light of their efforts to send relief to Chechen refugees. “Part of the reason that we’ve got some new open doors is that the Russian government has started to work more closely together with the United States. There’s a whole new feeling of cooperation between the U-S and Russia that wasn’t there before the 11th of September.” Law says since then, there has been a distinct alteration in the spiritual climate. “I think the change of the climates has given to us the opportunity to share the Gospel more frequently with less resistance from governing authorities. This, in fact, gives us the better responsiveness overall.”
