Meanwhile, ministry officials with Christians for Israel are cautiously optimistic that U-S President Elect Bush will mean good things for ministry in Israel. Christian For Israel’s Jim Hutchens describes his hope. “I’m hopeful the new administration will back off from this pressure for peace at any price. This has not worked well for Christians or for Jews or for Palestinians as a whole. It’s exacerbated the volatile situation there. If that is the case, I think that certainly our work will continue there.” Christians for Israel has helped repatriate 100-thousand Jews back to Israel. Huchens says that opens doors for sharing the Gospel. “We believe that we are to give an answer for the reason for the hope that we have to anyone that asks. It’s an attempt to demonstrate an unconditional love and acceptance of Israel.”
