We turn next to Turkey, where the Gospel is making inroads, albeit stealthily. Evangelical Free Church Mission’s Ben Sawatski explains what their goal is and how they will meet it. “We have workers there who are there for Christ’s sake, to be sure, but they’re engaged in a profession which they pursue with integrity and with excellence…but, they’re primarily there to fulfill the Great Commission, to make disciples of all nations.” Sawatski says through this event, they hope other people will be exposed to, and hopefully understand, EFCM’s purpose. “Each year at our annual conference, we have a ‘Vision Breakfast’ and we feature some of the global ministries in 42 countries. This year, one of the features will be the Turkic world. We estimate there are 150 million people in the Turkic world. Only three out of a hundred-thousand know Jesus personally.”
