Story number 2 for 3 Dec 2001

By December 3, 2001

(Africa)–Meanwhile, a new month begins with new efforts pledged in the fight against the global spread of AIDS. Saturday marked World AIDS Day, with thousands being challenged to make a difference in the struggle against the deadly disease. Trans World Radio’s Rich Greene says, for their part, they’re working to proclaim hope to AIDS-ravaged Africa. “It not only declares the good news of Jesus Christ to those who are suffering, but also teaches marital fidelity and sexual purity. So, Trans World Radio is making an impact in 12 countries right now, throughout Africa, with plans to increase the number of languages to five more, particularly to West Africa.” TWR-Africa’s work in the AIDS fight is also linked through their program “Africa Challenge”, which joins the Gospel to humanitarian issues.
