(India)–We turn next to India where Gujarat Christians accuse the government of collecting information on their community through illegal surveys. The government denies the news, but it is the second time this year they’ve faced the issue. Reports indicate police in this western district approached Christian missionaries and families to find out about their activities and background. The All India Christian Council fears this could be the precursor to more religious violence. They ask prayer for their safety, and that this won’t deter evangelistic activity.
