(Afghanistan)–Next, Mission Network News has been reporting on the situation in Afghanistan involving a group of eight foreign Christian aid workers. As the trial has begun, some information has come to light that is causing concern. According to the BBC, a senior Taliban official is quoted as saying that the Christians on trial in Afghanistan could be executed under Islamic law for sharing their faith. That, despite earlier reports that the foreign group would likely be expelled. The group of 16 nationals also face the death penalty.
