(Pakistan)–Next, Pakistan’s government has revoked a law that had restricted voting by religious minorities. Voice of the Martyrs says they welcome the change, but is asking that the government to consider repealing the “Blasphemy Laws” in Pakistan’s Penal Code. Under it, clerics have misused the law, which has opened the door to a rash of charges and convictions brought against Christians. It has also hampered evangelistic outreach in the area.
