Story number 3 for 12 Mar 2001

(Russia)–The stinging cold of a Russian winter has done little to freeze the hearts of believers. On the contrary, says The Bridge International’s RK Ulrich (uhl-rihk). Their latest work in Siberia has seen encouraging results. “The Lord is really moving there, but they have no resources. There are some churches, but they are just needing help. That is what our ministry is all about-it’s to equip, and facilitate and resource the national people so that they get the vision and the burden for their own country and their own people.” Ulrich says despite the poverty of the people, their hope allows them to continue sharing the Gospel. She adds that this is where Western support can really make a difference. “I have a challenge to anyone who listens to this. If you really want to see a difference made in the country of Russia, this is the opportunity. This is when your money can go so much further.”
