(India)–The United Stations Commission on International Religious Freedom is close to labeling India a violator of religious freedom. According to Compass Direct, the commission also believes India doesn’t do enough to safeguard the rights of religious minorities. Commission chairman Elliott Abrams says violence against Christians has increased, coinciding with a rise in influence of Hindu nationalist groups. May believe these nationalists are angry over the increasing number of Hindus converting to Christianity.
