(Ivory Coast)–American Leprosy Missions is expanding its work in the Ivory Coast. They are now fighting the buruli ulcer, a flesh-eating disease that attacks mainly children, many under 2 and 3 years old. Approximately 10,000 people in Ivory Coast have buruli. American Leprosy Missions has added buruli treatment to its medical services, in addition to leprosy treatment. However, recovery from buruli is long, expensive and requires extensive surgery. Please pray for the work as many are responding to the hope of the Gospel as well.
