The Religious Media Agency is reporting that Karen Christian leaders have called for the first ever “International Day of Prayer and Fasting” for the Karen, Karenni and Shan ethnic minorities of Burma to be observed on Sunday, January 7th 2001. These three ethnic groups have been specifically chosen because they are currently facing genocide at the hands of the Burmese military. Please pray for Karen Christians, many of whom are also severely persecuted for their faith.
