An historic event is taking place in the Netherlands in just a few days. Mission Network News Greg Yoder is heading there to cover it, Greg. “Peter, from every corner of the world some 10-thousand evangelists are traveling by foot, camel, boat and jet to Amsterdam. Beginning July 29th the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is hosting Amsterdam 2000, an event that’s designed to equip evangelical leaders to be effective ministers of the Gospel. 24 authorities on evangelism will be speaking including Luis Palau, Doctor Billy Kim, Doctor Bill Bright, J-I Packer and Billy Graham. However, because of his health, Graham will be speaking to the conferees via satellite. With more than 75-percent of the participants coming from developing nations, Amsterdam 2000 will give many evangelists and church leaders their first formal training in evangelism.
