(India)–An evangelical mission organization is in need of teachers in the predominately Hindu nation of India. Ramabai Mukti Mission’s David Scott says he’s trying to recruit three teachers, who speak English. “We’re a ways away from the big city. Consequently, it’s very difficult to get English speaking teachers. Plus, those that are pretty good in teaching and are able to do it in English are in such demand that many of them are just not committed enough, or not willing to make a commitment to serve in a missions setting.” Scott says this is a great opportunity for western believers. “To have a westerner in a teaching situation is usually a big plus. They figure that they understand the English language much better. That’s a terrific avenue to serve people and to help them, but also an avenue to build relationships and to introduce people to Jesus Christ.”
