(Philippines)–Assist News Service reports that after a series of threats to burn Christian churches in the southern Philippines, suspected members of the Muslim extremist Abu Sayyaf Group last week bombed a church the capital town of Sulu Province. Despite the destruction, there were no casualties or injuries reported. The threats are linked to the government attempts to free the missionary hostages the group holds. Please continue to pray for the safety of believers in this area.
