(Afghanistan)–Meanwhile, the ongoing drought and civil war in Afghanistan has resulted in a mass refugee movement. Destruction and neglect have kept many in the north isolated and overlooked by relief agencies. Mercy Corps is committed to supporting the people in this time through physical and spiritual help, provided by partnerships by both faith-based communities and governmental assistance. The organization is currently raising funds to prepare another shipment of relief supplies.
