The Christian and Missionary Alliance says that although Indonesian violence in Mataram (muh-TAR-um) has subsided, Christians there are facing obstacles in the rebuilding of their facilities destroyed in the January riots. Local authorities forbade further repairs and required the relocation of other churches. This meant many of the groups couldn’t meet any longer. However, officials later decided that churches built before 1945 could continue their work. Pray the Lord will intervene in the antagonism against the Christian community.
