(USA)–Next, while charitable giving grew last year in the United States, the increase wasn’t large enough to help mission groups significantly increase what they’re doing around the world. According to the Chronicle of Philanthropy, overall charitable giving grew three-point-two percent last year. That’s the slowest growth in five years. Giving to churches and other religious institutions increased a modest point-nine percent to 74-point-three billion dollars. But, following a decade long trend, fewer people gave last year.
