(Rwanda)–And, JESUS” film teams made up of Hutus and Tutsis are helping reconcile their warring tribes in Burundi and Rwanda. In 1994, 500,000 Hutus and Tutsis were slaughtered in tribal warfare. But recently, nine film teams showed The JESUS Film to more than 100,000 Burundians. A JESUS Film team leader there reports that, after they view the film, it is common for Hutus and Tutsis alike to receive Christ, then to go to one another and, in tears, ask forgiveness for their hatred and crimes against the other.
