(USA)–And, Christian music artists are lending their support to fight blindness in children and share the Gospel. Recording artist Nicole Nordeman is working in conjunction with Christian Blind Mission International. “The work of Christian Blind Mission International centers around medical care, preventing and curing blindness. Channeling the love of Christ to over one thousand projects around the world.” Nordeman feels their efforts are carrying out the biblical mandate to show love and compassion to those in need. “I think the Bible is so clear on how Jesus would have us extend ourselves as the hands and feet of Christ to those who need us and I think he also would have us extend ourselves as the eyes of Christ as well.” Christian Blind Mission International works to deliver medical care to some of the poorest countries in the world where blindness occurs. Every five seconds someone goes blind and for children the rate is almost one child every minute. Nordeman is one of a handful of artists lending their support in this effort.
