(Dominican Republic)– And, Worldwide Christian Schools reports that poverty is the means for their outreach in the Dominican Republic. WWCS’s Steve Guerink says they’re now working with 21 schools in partnership with Cocref, another group on the ground in the Dominican Republic. He explains their purpose. “It is the poorest of the poor that we’re reaching in that community. Our schools are serving Haitian cane cutters that are in the Dominican Republic, working at very low levels of employment. The schools that we build provide an opportunity for them to have an education which otherwise just would not be possible.” WWCS works to bring the Gospel and quality education to children around the world. Guerink asks believers: “…to pray about support for these schools as many of them are unable to fund themselves. Pray that the school would be touching the lives of people in that community for Christ.”
