(USA)–And, FARMS International’s outreach is continuing growth. The group recently brought on Steve Salowitz as Assistant Director of Operations. As for his role in the agricultural evangelistic program, Salowitz says: “There’s been an increase in the number of program requests. There’s Romania, there’s one starting up in the Philippines that they’ll be taking care of, and we get requests from Africa all the time.” Salowitz says he’s looking forward to: “Helping them out with some of the training when they go out to the local loan committees, and helping to establish some of the new programs that have requests. Our prayer needs are basically for our continued transition. We’ve come back from the foreign field last July. Getting used to America after many years of being away has been somewhat of a roller coaster ride for us.” Because the effects of poverty can hinder the growth of Christians, and the church, from reaching maturity in Christ, FARMS exists to support local believers.
