(France)–And finally, citing a need to deal with more pressing matters, a vote on the controversial anti-sect bill in France has been put on hold until some time in March. The bill aims to stamp out dangerous sects or cults. However, many religious groups say the bill is so vague that people could start legal proceedings against legitimate religious organizations. The bill never defines “sect” and could pose problems for evangelism. Christians groups are already reporting increased discrimination and harassment.
