(Senegal) — And finally, Christians are being asked to pray for missionary work in Senegal, West Africa. While 90-percent of the population of that country is Muslim, the country is tolerant and remain open to the Gospel. SIM Missionary Mark Garrett says it’s easy to talk to his Muslim neighbors about the Gospel. “People will often talk to you about things that they perceive the Christian faith adheres to – espouses – which are not true. There’s an incredible amount of bridges when we’re talking to Muslims here because of the common threads in Islam and Christianity. The Muslims claim all the same prophets as we claim in Christianity, except they just add Mohammed on top.” Garrett says Christians should pray for believers who are scattered throughout the country. He says they are few in number and lack Biblical instruction.
