The voice of the hungry cry out

By October 25, 2013

Zimbabwe (MNN) — What if you were in a situation where the ones you loved didn’t have enough food to survive? What if you thought you did everything you could to provide them with food, but it still wasn’t enough?

Communities in Zimbabwe are experiencing these conditions to the extreme. Some of us have heard the phrase, “Oh, I’m dying of hunger!” — meaning we’re hungry and want to eat food. Kids in Zimbabwe are literally dying of hunger.

A local paper reported that 2.2 million people nationwide are going hungry. Global Aid Network (GAiN) is sending out a distress call, in hopes that you might help!

The U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Office of Food for Peace (FFP) has provided $10 million to the U.N. World Food Program. $1.8 million of that is for the people of Zimbabwe.

But it’s not enough.

You have the opportunity to make a difference with as little as ten cents a meal. To donate, visit here.

Pray that believers come together to help those in need. Pray that partners will be able to make a difference in the lives of the hungry.
