Two more church bombings in Iraq kill three and injure 40.

Iraq (MNN) — The terror continues for Iraq’s Christians as two more churches were bombed by Islamic extremists earlier this week in Baghdad.

At least three people were killed and 40 injured in the blasts that occurred within 10 minutes of each other in two separate churches in central Baghdad. A wave of bombings hit Baghdad this week as U-S forces launched an attack to capture the rebel-held city of Fallujah.

Over 95-percent of Iraq’s Christians are ChaldoAssyrian, descended from the ancient Assyrians of Biblical times, and they are the indigenous people of Iraq. But the escalating violence against Christians has caused many to flee the country, and still many others to be paralyzed with fear and targeted by Islamic militant groups who link Iraqi Christians to the “Christian” West.

Pray for peace in Iraq and that God will give Iraqi Christians protection and endurance in this fearful time.
