Women’s prison ministry changes lives in Zambia

By July 14, 2004

Zambia (MNN) — Zambian students from Teen Missions International’s BIBLE MISSIONARY & WORK Training Center (BMW) are seeing an open door for prison ministry in Zambia. Female prisoners near Ndola Zambia are hungry for God’s Word and beg the students to come more often. The prison population has swollen as refugees from the Congo have crossed into Zambia where they are considered illegal immigrants and are thus arrested. Please pray for those who have recently received Jesus Christ and that other prisons would be open to receive this type of ministry to the prisoners.

Three woman gave their hearts to the Lord.. The worship and singing continues to be from their hearts. The women are very receptive to the Word of God. Also, this past service the Commanding officer who is over both the men’s and women’s prison came to the service. They beg the team to come more often, but they’re only able to go one Sunday per month.

Pray that these new believers will grow in their faith. Since the Gideons were visiting from the Unites States, the team and the prisoners received Bibles to help with their growth.
