World Vision staff tsunami victims, but still working

By January 5, 2005

Asia (MNN) — While World Vision has set of goal of raising $50 million for tsunami relief, those serving the suffering are also mourning.

Several World Vision staff members have opened their own homes to the displaced, often taking in 100 people at a time. One staff member, who celebrates 21 years of service this week, is also grieving the loss of 16 extended family members. Another watched as his mother and daughter were washed away. Yet another lost his mother-in-law. Five staff members in one community alone lost their homes.

Pray for these World Vision staff members. Pray that God will comfort them during this time of tragedy, and that God would use this as an opportunity to share their faith as they help.
