Believers are tapped to help in the translation work of an international film.

USA (MNN)–A wealth of experience in translation and an in-depth understanding of the material are two areas key to a new partnership.

Mel Gibson’s film “The Passion of the Christ” has brought the ministry of Jesus to millions since its February release.

As the film circulated internationally, it became evident that translations were needed. Born from that need is a partnership between The JESUS Film Project and ICON Productions.

The JESUS Film Project supplied international contacts in 21 countries previously used in their translation work so ICON could contact them for subtitles. Some of the countries The JESUS Film Project supplied contacts for include Belgium, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Hungary, Russia, Romania, Italy, France, Poland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany, Korea, and Japan.

Pray that work goes smoothly so many more can understand the hope Christ provides.
