Flooding in Guyana seems forgotten by the world.

By February 14, 2005

Guyana (MNN) — Guyana has suffered its worst disaster, and the world has hardly heard.

More than four weeks of rain have affected 300-thousand people, nearly half the population of that South American country. Widespread flooding is producing water-borne diseases.

Ramon Williams with Worldwide Photos, a religious media agency located in Sydney, Australia, reports that churches in the area responded immediately with food distribution and aid to those displaced and affected by the floods. But supplies are running out as food becomes scarce.

Pray for Christians to be a source of the love and compassion of Christ and pray that resources may be provided to help with relief.
