Learning English in China may help TWR reach out

By September 10, 2004

China (MNN) — China’s entry into the World Trade Organization and hosting of several world events, such as the 2008 Olympics and World Expo in Shanghai in 2010, have made learning English essential. Aiming to reach Chinese youth and intellectuals, over the past year Trans World Radio – Northeast Asia (TWR-NEA) has boosted the learning English content on its Web site, ktwr.net.

In addition, TWR-NEA has launched a site (abc111.com) dedicated to teaching English. The site’s features include audio and text that help expand English vocabulary and improve oral and listening skills. A Q&A column, “Ask John Doe,” answers questions from those visiting the site.

Pray that those who frequent the web site will not only learn English, but will learn about Christ.
