Jerry Wiles is author of the book “The Faithful Witness” and President of Living Water International. Wiles says, “The main barrier that most people have is fear.”

China (MNN) — A new Bible school in open in China, despite increasing persecution against Christians. Erik Burklin is with China Partner, who help fund the project. Burklin just returned from China, where he says the first phase of the Jiangxi (jaing-zhee) provincial Bible school is now completed.

Vietnam (MNN) — A Bible translation organization says they will be able to publish and distribute God’s word in Vietnam. Richard Loh is with the World Bible Translation Center and says this is a milestone for the organization.
East Africa (MNN) — Bible narration is a tool being used to lead people to Christ in an East African nation. An American missionary says teaching nationals in this country to read, isn’t always the answer.
Israel (MNN) — A new Palestinian leader won’t make it any easier for Christians. Yasser Arafat has announced his nominee for Palestinian prime minister. Ahmed Korei could replace Mahmoud Abbas, who resigned Saturday. Voice of the Martyrs Todd Nettleton says he doesn’t believe his appointment will mean any change for Christians in the region. “The Palestinian Authority obviously doesn’t like Christians. And, they particularly don’t like Muslims who become Christians. And so, the persecution is likely going to continue against Palestinian Christians regardless of who’s in charge.”
