(C. Asia) — Meanwhile, more Christian young people are taking an interest in the Muslim world in recent months. That’s the word from a missionary in Central Asia we’ll call J-P. J-P explains. “You have a lot of college students trying to decide what to do with their life and then they see these things happen since September 11th, and many of them, God has given them a burden to reach out to Muslims. You need a real passion to reach them. You need to love them. And, I have seen a lot of that in the last few months — People learning about Islam and studying Islam and getting a real compassion to reach out to them.” JP, who’s staying at D & D Missionary Homes in Florida, says their need for more workers is great in light of what’s happening right now. “You have Muslim missionaries, meaning people from the Middle East coming into Central Asia to share Islam. Muslim missionaries have complete freedom to do whatever they want and they have the money to back it up. We have a shortage of workers. We don’t have enough people to share our message.”
