(Zambia)–Meanwhile, Zambia’s former president is calling on Christian churches to step up in the struggle against the HIV/AIDS pandemic. As of the last report, 245 million people are living with HIV in the Sub-Saharan region. Dr. Kenneth Kaunda went on to say that HIV/AIDS demands that Christians re-affirm their faith in Christ, and that through him, love conquers death. He advised believers to see HIV/AIDS as the call of our time to reach out in compassion and love those who suffer.
