(Bolivia)–Next, as August nears, tensions are mounting in Bolivia. Because no one received a majority vote in the June presidential elections, a newly elected Congress will choose the president by August 3rd, three days before the current president leaves office. Hotly debated politics in the past have led to rioting and other difficulties. New Tribes Missions believes their missionaries are likely to be adversely affected regardless of the outcome. Pray for peace through the next few weeks.
