Meanwhile, a request from an African king has sparked excitement at “Bibles for the World”. The king of Togo recently asked the group to help provide 100-thousand French New Testaments for his people. A majority of the 4.5 million people in Togo practice traditional African animist religions, but the King says more Islamic ideals and beliefs are being introduced into his country. “Bibles for the World” hopes to eventually provide at least every Christian in Togo with a copy of the New Testament.
