The Internet boosts the ministry of a Christian adoption agency.

USA (MNN)–Buckner Orphan Care has programs running in Botswana, Bulgaria, China, Guatemala, Kenya, Latvia, Romania and Russia.

However, despite their international presence, getting the word out about adoptions through Christian agencies has proven a bit of a challenge. That has gotten easier via the online community.

Buckner Orphan Care’s MaryAnn Hamby says a majority of adoptive families across America did their research through the Internet. That research moved her to address their website in order to reach searching families.

“By providing a lot of our forms now online, by providing a correspondence orientation, it has really sort of broken down any barriers.” She adds, ” So, any family from any state is now able to work through Buckner to adopt internationally.”

Hamby explains their team has a Christian worldview, through which they operate. For many, the process becomes a deeper faith experience. “There are so many steps in the process that require a tremendous amount of faith, and to know that your case worker is praying with you through this, having an experience and a knowledgeable background, but also having the faith to help you take the steps that you need, is truly a blessing.”

Pray for the Lord to lavish His love and guard the hearts of the children in the countries we serve. Pray for His peace to reside within the orphanage walls and for the name of Christ to be proclaimed each week.
