Ukraine (MNN) –An attacker in Ukraine viciously attacked an 11-year-old Heart 2 Heart ministry recipient recently.

Bible Mission International’s ministry to needy children began assisting an 11-year-old girl and her mother a year ago when the girl’s father left them. But through the Heart 2 Heart program, both mother and daughter have learned about Jesus and are attending church and Sunday school classes.

The girl survived the knife attack, and BMI ministry workers have been supporting the family since the attack. The girl’s mother states that they could not have made it through without friends from BMI’s ministry.

When asked what Bible story she liked best, the 11-year-old held up her colorful children’s Bible, her face glowing and replied, “All of them!”

BMI’s vision is to take the Gospel to all the ethnic groups of the former Soviet Union, working in practical ways to support the local churches.

Pray for the the girl and her mother as they readjust to life and grow in their relationship with God through the care and support of BMI.
