Jesus Film honors American heroes

By June 24, 2004

USA (MNN) — In just a few days millions of people in the United States will honor their forefathers and heroes who sacrificed all they had for the freedom they cherish today. The Jesus Video Project, an outreach of the Jesus Film Project of Campus Crusade for Christ, is helping Americans honor those who are seldom recognized, the unsung heroes.

Those heroes are moms, dads, firefighters, police officers, military personnel and their families. The hero that’s most over-looked is Jesus Christ Himself.

An effective way for Americans to remember Christ is to give their unsaved friends and family a copy of the American Heroes Edition of the JESUS video. This is a tool that not only honors American heroes, but introduces them to the Christ — the one responsible for our salvation.

With the success of the Mel Gibson film “The Passion of the Christ” this could be an opportune time to share this incredible story.
