(India)–And, the World Bible Translation Center has released The Easy-to-Read Bengali Bible in a rural area outside of Calcutta. The translation is expected to help Christians reaching out to Hindus in rural areas. The Bengali Bible is the seventh full Bible in an Indian language released by WBTC. There are 13 New Testaments translations and work on Old Testaments continues. The Center hopes to announce the release of the Punjabi and Urdu Bibles late next year.
