Summer ramps up activity for mission teams in Haiti.

By August 8, 2006

Haiti (MNN)–OMS International says activity is kicking into high gear this month.

The teams have a conference for over 100 Haitian teachers with members of the Association of Christian Schools International from Eastern Canada.

Among the schools represented is Cowman International School, a direct partner with OMS. They offer an elementary education, kindergarten through eighth grade, from a Christian perspective.

A number of these children are from non-Christian homes, offering an opportunity to present the Gospel and teach God’s Word to children of Haitian business and professional people.

Students receive instruction in core subjects in multiple-grade, self-contained classrooms. Each day begins with Bible class or the weekly chapel program, and throughout the day spiritual truths are integrated into subject areas.

Following that, church leaders are gathering for the annual church conference for the Emmaus Fellowship of Churches.

Pray that delegates will be open to what the Lord has to show them, and that they will be able to put new concepts into practice in their ministries.
