Madagascar (MNN) — The people of Madagascar are close to having the Gospel of Luke available in their own language. Parke Brown with the Seed Company, says they are now holding the final workshop, which should result in the translation and publication of the JESUS Film in five languages. Brown says the final review should be complete this month.

Brazil (MNN) — Christians around the world are being encouraged to pray for revival in a city in Brazil. American evangelist Sammy Tippit, who’s been preaching the Gospel for 35 years, is in Goiana, Brazil for a series of meetings talking about that subject. He’s praying for a mighty move of God’s Spirit to touch the hearts an lives of the people there.
Iraq (MNN) — Iraq headlines today’s news as the United States is asking the United Nations to take a more active roll in peace keeping in the region. Despite the lack of peace, Christian organizations like Food for the Hungry are helping with physical aid. Food for the Hungry is currently distributing more than $700,000 worth of medical assistance in an effort to share the hope of Christ.
Middle East (MNN) — Latin American Christians say reaching the Islamic world with the Gospel is a top priority for them. Because of that CAM International is doing all it can to help facilitate that urgency. CAM’s Keegan Williamson says Central America, once a mission field, is now a mission force to the Muslim world and they’re more effective. Support is need to help this outreach explode.
Egypt (MNN) — SAT-7’s Christian production studio in Cairo, Eqypt literally came through the fires of tribulation to emerge as more refined gold this week. The broadcast center was destroyed one year ago taking with it some 400-thousand dollars worth of equipment. The studio is now fully operational.
USA (MNN) — The need for full time missionaries is still great and the Finishers Project is doing all it can to recruit new workers. Nelson Malwitz is with the Finishers Project. He says while there is a need for preachers and teachers, needs also exist in computer, administration and construction. Malwitz says they’re holding a Finishers Forum October 24th and 25th in Charlotte, North Carolina to help recruit new workers.
Myanmar (MNN) — Missions work continues in Myanmar despite a myriad of hardships. According to Christian Aid Mission, many believers must be extremely careful as all mail is subject to censorship or confiscation. Inflation is making living there difficult and many are concerned about the rainy season, now facing that nation. Last year many people contracted a serious flu virus.
