(Kenya)–Next, reports out of Kenya indicate that a well-known Christian is instrumental in a new AIDS ministry. The Nyumbani Aids orphanage in Nairobi is getting support from evangelist Billy Graham for an AIDS village project targeting orphans and their grandparents. Proposals for a 500-acre specially constructed site have also drawn support from the international Christian community. Organizers hope the village will become self-sustaining through teaching Biblical principles and trade skills.
